Shady Meadows Gundogs provides started and finished bird dogs for the upland enthusiast trained by some of the top trainers in the country. Our trainers focus on foot hunting bird dogs and have produced over 100 NSTRA champions for clients nation wide. More importantly though, our dogs are your friends. Not much can beat a day in the field with a well trained hunting buddy. Our English Pointers come from many great lines such as Hall of Fame 25x CH Crow's Little Joe and Hall of Fame 9x National Champion Honky Tonk Attitude. That cross is undisputably the best cross out there for foot hunting dogs and occasionally we cross in some Elhew and Hall of Fame Champion Additions Go Boy. Our German Shorthairs come from lines such as Hall of Fame Top Producer Field Champion Dixieland Rusty, 3x National Champion Rawhides Clown, Hall of Fame 5x NC NFC NSDC NASDC FC Heide's Mighty City Slicker and more and we cross those to some of our German lines as well to produce absolutely stunning black/white, liver/white, black roan, liver roan, solid liver and solid black dogs from the hottest lines available. We also work with Labradors, English Setters and a few Springer Spanials. No one breed of dog is perfect for all hunting situations so we work with several breeds so that we have the very best for each hunting situation. We wild bird hunt all over the country every year and are die hard passionate about our dogs. Very few people in the country and even fewer real kennels hunt their dogs on wild birds like we do.
